Eastern Orthodox Chapel Ministry at Camp Pendleton,
Oceanside, CA**
**When visiting Camp Pendleton: To get past the guards, drivers must present a
driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Everyone who comes must have some proof of id in case they’re asked. All they need to say is “I’m meeting with a Chaplain at South Mesa Chapel” -asking where the Orthodox Chapel is or if they know Fr. Jerome leads nowhere. After the gate, turn right at the next intersection “Wire Mtn.” and go up the hill. Turn left at the 4-way stop sign onto “San Jacinto”. About 2/10 of a mile after turning the Chapel will be on the right. The sign near the street says “Blinder Memorial
Chapel/Brown Child Development Center.”
The modern-looking stained-glass window of the Orthodox Chapel is visible on the left side of the Chapel complex as you face it from the parking lot.
